The Energy and Water Regulatory Commission adopted a decision approving the Rules for measuring the amount of electricity. According to Art. 21, para. 1, item 9 and Art. 83, para. 2 in connection with Art. 83, para. 1, item 6 of the Energy Act, the adoption of the Rules for measuring the amount of electricity is the exclusive competence of the Regulatory Commission, which approves them on a proposal by the energy companies.
The preparation of a comprehensive new draft of the Rules for measuring the amount of electricity is a result of the final decision of the Supreme Administrative Court of 08.11.2018, which repealed the texts of the Electricity Measurement Rules of the Commission adopted in 2013.With the adoption of the new Rules, the lack of secondary legislation under Art. 83, para. 1, item 6 of the Energy Act, regulating the principles of measurement, the methods and places of measurement, the conditions and the order of their servicing, including the order and methods for recalculation of the amount of electrical energy in establishing of measured, incorrect and / or inaccurately measured electrical energy, the report of the Energy Commission said.
