The Council of Ministers has adopted a Decision on determining the values used for the calculation of the market revenue cap for producers of electricity from renewable energy sources with installed capacity above 1 MW, without a contract for compensation with premiums.
Producers of electricity from renewable energy sources without a contract for compensation with premiums will set their market revenue cap at 300 BGN/MWh of the value of the electricity produced. This is regulated in the Decision of the Council of Ministers, approved at a meeting held today, which sets the values for calculating the market revenue cap of different types of electricity producers. Above this cap, producers owe contributions to the Electricity System Security Fund.
The Decision shall enter into force from 1 January 2024 and shall apply to revenues of electricity producers for the period 1 January 2024 - 30 June 2024.
