The funding programme for solar and wind power generation installations with storage facilities is open for applications

The Ministry of Energy announced for selection procedures under the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan - BG-RRP-4.032 "Support for new power generation capacities from renewable sources and electricity storage with an installed capacity of 200 kW to 2 MW" and procedure BG-RRP-4.033 "Support of new capacities for the production of electricity from renewable sources and storage of electricity with an installed capacity of more than 200 kW".
 

1. Procedure BG-RRP-4.032 "Support for new power generation capacities from renewable sources and electricity storage with an installed capacity of 200 kW to 2 MW" has a total budget of BGN 107 570 650.

The granting of funds under the procedure for the selection of investments by final recipients is directed only to new solar and/or wind power generation capacities with local storage facilities, the grant funding being in the form of investment aid for the local electricity storage facilities. The aim of the procedure is to build a minimum of 200 MW of RES generation capacity in combination with a minimum of 100 MW of local storage facilities.

The minimum and maximum amount of grant funding requested for each individual proposal for the implementation of an investment by an applicant shall be as follows:
- Minimum funding per proposal - none;
- Maximum amount of funding for a proposal for a single project for a single enterprise - up to BGN 35 854 000.

The maximum grant intensity for the applicant is up to 50% of the eligible costs, but not more than BGN 1 075 706 (excluding VAT) per 1 MW of installed capacity of the local storage facilities.

In order to be eligible, the investment proposal should be for no more than 1/3 of the total capacity quota of storage facilities under the procedure.

Companies from all sectors of the Bulgarian economy are eligible under the procedure, with the exception of those from the agricultural, forestry and fisheries sectors.
 

2. Procedure BG-RRP-4.033 "Support of new capacities for the production of electricity from renewable sources and storage of electricity with an installed capacity of more than 200 kW" has a total budget of BGN 427 544 438.

The granting of funds under the procedure for the selection of investments by final recipients is directed only to new solar and/or wind power generation capacities with local storage facilities, the grant funding being in the form of investment aid for the local electricity storage facilities. The aim of the procedure is to build a minimum of 940 MW of RES generation capacity in combination with a minimum of 200 MW of local storage facilities.

The minimum and maximum amount of grant funding requested for each individual proposal for the implementation of an investment by an applicant shall be as follows:
- Minimum funding per proposal - none;
- Maximum amount of funding for a proposal for a single project for a single enterprise - up to BGN 58 674 900.

The maximum grant intensity for the applicant is up to 50% of the eligible costs, but not more than BGN 743 215 (excluding VAT) per 1 MW of installed capacity of the local storage facilities.

In order to be eligible, the investment proposal should be for no more than 1/3 of the total capacity quota of storage facilities under the procedure.

Companies from all sectors of the Bulgarian economy are eligible under the procedure, with the exception of those from the agricultural, forestry and fisheries sectors.


The submission of project proposals is done entirely electronically by filling in the web-based application form and submitting the form and accompanying documents through the UMIS 2020 System, section "National Recovery and Sustainability Plan", using only a valid Qualified Electronic Signature (QES), through the "E-application" module at the following web address: https://eumis2020.government.bg/bg/s/800c457d-e8be-4421-8ed9-9e78d0a75c39/Procedure/Active

The deadline for submission of proposals is 16:30 on 12.06.2024.

After accessing the UMIS 2020 System by creating a user profile, applicants can ask questions and request clarifications regarding the Application Conditions up to 21 (twenty-one) days before the application deadline.
