On 12.12.2022, the Ministry of Innovation and Growth (MIG) announced for public discussion a procedure through the selection of proposals for the implementation of investments from final recipients BG-RRP-3.006 "Instalation of new RES for own consumption in combination with local energy storage facilities" under the Program for Economic Transformation to the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan.
The purpose of the procedure is to provide grants for the construction of new renewable energy sources (photovoltaic systems) up to 1 MW for own consumption, combined with local energy storage facilities (batteries), thereby encouraging the transition of the private sector to an environmentally friendly activity.
The total amount of grant funding under the procedure is BGN 200,000,000 (EUR 102,258,376.24) from the European Union - NextGenerationEU.
The minimum amount of the requested free financing for individual proposals is BGN 100,000, and the maximum is BGN 1,000,000.
The procedure is aimed at micro, small and medium enterprises, small companies with an average market capitalization (up to 499 employees) and companies with an average market capitalization (up to 1500 employees). They can be from all sectors of the Bulgarian economy with the exception of "Agriculture, forestry and fisheries", "Production and distribution of electricity and thermal energy and gaseous fuels", "Financial and insurance activities" and part of "Manufacturing industry" (part of "Production of food products" and "Production of beverages").
Co-financing will be 35-50% depending on the location of the investment and the category of the enterprise.
The procedure envisages a fully electronic submission and evaluation of the proposals through the Information System for the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism (EUMIS 2020, section "National Recovery and Resilience Plan").
