The Energy and Water Regulatory Commission published on its website the report on price validation in the electricity sector for the next price period - from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020. An open meeting to discuss the report will be held on June 4, 2019 (Tuesday) at the Energy commission’s building. The document states that, on the basis of the analysis carried out by the Commission, the estimated annual market price for base load for the period 01.07.2019 - 30.06.2020 was set at 89.00lv. / MWh.
The analysis of the regulator, also provides for an estimated market price for ESO EAD of the order of 91.45 lv. /MWh for the period from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020. For CEZ Distribution Bulgaria AD, Electricity Distribution South EAD and "Electricity Distribution North" AD the estimated market price is 92.85 lv. /MWh. At the suggestion of the working group of the Energy Regulator, the report has been drafted since 1 July 2011 duty to the society will decrease to 20.49 lv. / MWh excluding VAT from the current 36.75lv. / MWh excluding VAT. The energy regulator is due to endorse the report by the end of June.
